Bethany visits Sarah in prison, and is horrified to see her mum's badly bruised face. Sarah plays it down, but she's privately unnerved by one of her fellow inmates. When Sally arrives home, Tim pretends he had a low-key game night. But then Richie comes back, asking to stay again as his wife has thrown him out.

Kit's left heartbroken when jailed Sarah ends their relationship, explaining that she loves him and doesn't want him to throw away his police career for her... After a sleepless night, Tim and Sally sit in shock. They hear Richie has been charged with his wife's murder but he is claiming he acted in self-defence. Devastated that Sarah dumped him, Kit knocks back vodka. Sneaky Jodie seeks him out, offering to buy him a pizza to help him cope with his broken heart.

Nick and Toyah warn Leanne that Idris is a thug and they have it on good authority that he put the frighteners on Gavin, Speed Daal's potential buyer. The social worker informs Sally, Tim and Brody that Lucy's foster placement has fallen through. Tim arranges for Lucy to move in but Lucy does a runner.

When Sarah's fellow inmate Kacey says it's common knowledge that Sarah's ex is a cop, Sarah's shocked. And when Sarah gets threatened, Kacey says she'll protect her. When Alya has an urgent meeting, Idris steps in to help at Speed Daal. He offers Alya £35K for her share in the business and she promises to consider it.

Todd returns from Thailand and quickly makes up with Sarah. However, he is later shocked to learn that she is being blackmailed by fellow inmate Kacey. Shona and Sally take Lily and Lucy out so they can make up. Lily apologises and tells Lucy her mum is also dead and so she knows what she’s going through.

Sarah asks Kit for help with her blackmail drama, but he points out that she broke up with him and tells her she’s on her own now. Later, Kacey’s threats turn to violence. Idris books a poker night at Speed Daal in a bid to win enough cash to buy the restaurant, but tells Ollie and Lauren that Alya and Leanne must never find out.

Kacey tells Sarah that if anything happens to Harry, it’s her own fault. A mysterious woman, Celeste, tells Todd she would like to organise a funeral, over a drink. Idris is nervous as his poker game gets under way. As players get knocked out one by one, he breathes a sigh of relief when Ollie wins hands down.

Tim receives a visiting order from Richie in prison, but when Tim refuses after his cousin asks him to lie to the police so he can avoid prison, they fall out. A fuming Leanne rounds on Idris for gambling with her money, but he admits that her cash was never at risk because he fixed the game and cheated.

When Glenda tells Todd off for drinking too much since returning from Thailand, he plots to get his own back. Later, Celeste reveals something that gives him an idea.
